Orbit IP secured another decisive victory for its client, dbest products, Inc., as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington granted dbest’s motion to dismiss in full, shutting down a lawsuit filed by Amazon seller Shenzhen Yihong Technology Co., Ltd. (doing business as Vtopmart).
Vtopmart sued dbest following a short-lived removal of its products from Amazon, alleging non-infringement, patent invalidity, and various state law claims. The Court rejected all of Vtopmart’s arguments, dismissing the case entirely and putting an end to the dispute—with no claims left standing.
This result reaffirms dbest’s strong position and Orbit IP’s continued success in defending innovation-driven companies against meritless claims.
The case was led by Orbit IP partner Ehab M. Samuel. The case is Shenzhen Yihong Technology Co. Ltd. v. dbest products, Inc., U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Case No. 2:24-cv-02043-KKE
